1. UNSLAKED LIME OFF LOADING BY COMPETENT PERSONS
1.1. Unslaked lime to be directed to off loading point by plant security.
1.2. Driver to report to CIP control room with his delivery note.
1.3. Supervisor to ensure that unslaked lime truck has been to weigh bridge.
1.4. Competent person to accompany driver to off loading point.
1.5. Competent person to measure unslaked lime storage tank to make sure that there is room for the delivery.
1.6. Competent person to start vibrating screen and ventilation fan
1.7. Driver to park near screen and tip load slowly over screen.
1.8. Both mine representatives and driver to wear recommended personal protective equipment.
1.9. Competent person to assist driver until the load is off loaded.
1.10. Competent person to clean area in front of screen.
1.11. The off loading supervisor is responsible for authorizing discharge at the off loading area and should be thoroughly trained and found competent in the correct procedures to be followed and the emergency measures to be taken in case of a spillage.
1.12. It is the responsibility of the recipient’s off loading supervisor to clearly instruct the tanker driver which tank to be filled.
1.13. The recipient’s off loading supervisor has the right to refuse permission to discharge the contents of the truck if he is not satisfied with the condition of the truck, the reasons for the rejection should be noted on the delivery note.
1.14. The driver has the right to refuse to discharge the load if he is not satisfied with the condition of storage tank, the reasons for the rejection should be noted on the delivery note.
2. UNSLAKED LIME TRUCK EMPTY
2.1. Competent person to measure unslaked lime storage tank and to sign delivery note.
2.2. Competent person to attach delivery check list to plant copy of delivery note.
2.3. Truck to leave plant for weigh bridge at mine stores.
