1. LIQUID OXYGEN OFF LOADING
1.1. Oxygen tanker to be directed to off loading point by plant security.
1.2. Driver to report to CIP control room with his delivery note.
1.3. Supervisor/ competent person to ensure that tanker has been to weigh bridge.
1.4. Supervisor/ competent person to accompany driver to tanker.
1.5. Supervisor/ competent person to unlock gate
1.6. Driver to wear recommended personal protective equipment as stated.
1.7. Driver to connect off loading pipe to delivery point and connect earth cable.
1.8. Supervisor/ competent person to check that ‘NO SMOKING’ sign is adhered to.
1.9. Driver start off loading
1.10. The off loading supervisor/ competent person is responsible for authorizing discharge at the off loading area and should be thoroughly trained in the correct procedures to be followed and the emergency measures to be taken in case of a spillage.
1.11. It is the responsibility of the recipient’s off loading supervisor/ competent person to clearly instruct the tanker driver which tank to be filled.
1.12. The recipient’s off loading supervisor competent person has the right to refuse permission to discharge the contents of a road tanker if he is not satisfied with the condition of the tanker, the reasons for the rejection should be noted on the delivery note.
2. TANKER EMPTY
2.1. Driver to close all valves on tanker and on columns before disconnecting delivery pipe
2.2. Supervisor/ competent person to lock gate
2.3. Supervisor/ competent person to attach delivery check list to plant copy of delivery note.
2.4. Tanker to leave plant for weigh bridge at the mine stores.
