The following Security Practices and Regulation should always be followed at Evander Gold Mine:

In Case of a Security Incident Phone the following Number:

Avoid panic and stay calm
And provide the operator with the following information:
- Callers contact number.
- Caller’s name.
- Exact incident location.
- What the emergency/incident is.
- what the injuries/damage are.
Visitors:
- Visitors, Vendors and Family Members must obtain access permission via the Security Department.
- Access will only be granted to Employees, Visitors and Contractors who is in possession of a valid access card or by a pre-arranged appointment at the entrance or main gate of the premises.
- All visitors/permanent Evander Gold Mine employees visiting any working areas/shafts must undergo induction training before visiting the area.
- All tools and equipment brought on to the premises must be entered in a “Tools List” prior to entering company premises.
- Ad hoc testing supressing substances and alcohol must be conducted at all access points.
Parking:
- Parking of private vehicles must be controlled.
- All parking on Mine Property is at owner’s risk.
- Reverse parking is essential
Functions/Parties:
NO Functions and drinking of alcohol will be permitted on the premises without permission from the
Head of Department
Fire-arms/Drugs:
Fire-arms and Drugs without prescriptions on the premises are prohibited.
Explosives:
Any person can be searched for explosives on the mine in terms of:
- The mining regulations
Company Assets:
- Operations are equipped with CCTV surveillance and is monitored 24/7.
- No Person is allowed to remove any company assets without an approval. Removal of company assets without approval will be seen as theft and the incident will be reported to Security.
- Regular searches will be conducted at all access points.
- No tampering with CCTV Cameras is allowed
Power Of Arrest:
- Power of arrest can be exercised, without a warrant, on any person found committing any offence on the mine property.
Sleeping Quarters:
NO Person will be allowed to live in ANY building or shack, that is still under construction and in which sleeping quarters are not provided for.
Persons To Be Searched:
Any person can be searched on the Mine by a person who is appointed in writing by the Manager.
- Breaching security access control measures may constitute a criminal offence
- Damaging company property is not allowed
- Do not bring animals onto the property
- Unauthorised persons/vehicles access to the property is not permitted
- No firearms or dangerous weapons are allowed on the property
- Never use abusive language
- Assault or intimidation is not allowed
- Meetings without authorisation from supervisors is not allowed
- Distribution of unauthorised leaflets/newspapers is not allowed
- Carrying out private business on site is not allowed
- Please note that you may be searched during your visit to Evander Gold Mine.
