CODE OF CONDUCT:

 

  • Welcome to this development and growth journey.
  • Your development and growth is important to us, hence allow us to make this a pleasant experience to all concerned.
  • The success of your learning experience depends on your participation and contribution within the group
  • We learn best by listening first and by sharing wisdom and experience with all concerned
  • We treat people with dignity and allow only one person to speak at a time.
  • Diligent time keeping is essential and is a sign of respect.
  • Please ensure you adhere to laid down time arrangements.
  • The use of cell phones is prohibited within all learning and assessment venues.
  • Please ensure all cell phones are switched off for the full duration of the learning and assessment events.
  • Cell phones may only be switched on or being used during breaks.
  • The use of a cellphone may not impede or affect the learning process and procedure
  • No smoking, eating or drinking is permitted within the lecture venues.
  • No horseplay or at risk behaviour are permitted within the designated learning environment
  • Please note that other learning events may take place in the same area. You are kindly requested to avoid disturbances and or causing noise during breaks or when leaving the venues concerned.
  • Please assist to take care of the assets and resources within the facilities as it is provided for your benefit.
  • Smoking in designated areas only.

 

Kindly note that failure to adhere to the code of conduct will lead to possible disciplinary action

Induction Programme Lay- Out

Start time: 08H00

Tea Break: 09H30 to 09H45

Lunch Break: 11H45 to 12H15

Tea Break: 13H15 to 13H30

End Time: 15H00

PURPOSE:

 

  • Understanding the business strategy and your required role in terms of Safety, People, Productivity and Cost
  • Awareness of business operating practices, policies and procedures.
  • Corporate accountability and Legal Compliance.
  • The behaviour and interaction expected from every individual and the entire work-force regarding Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Adopting the Evander Gold Mines Culture
  • Entrench the Pan African Resources Plc Code of Conduct and values.

EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

As far as reasonably practicable, every employee must:

  • Ensure he/she obtain any information, instruction, training or supervision that is necessary to enable them to perform their work safely and without risk to health.
  • Ensure every employee becomes familiar with work-related hazards and risks and the measures that must be taken to eliminate, control and minimise those hazards and risks.

As far as reasonably practicable, every employee must ensure that he/she is properly trained:

  • To deal with every risk to the employee’s health or safety.
  • In the measures necessary to eliminate, control and minimise those risks to health or safety.
  • In the procedures to be followed to perform that employee’s work.
  • In relevant emergency procedures.

EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Before an employee first starts work.
  • At intervals determined by the Employer based on aspects related to health and safety.
  • Before significant changes are introduced to procedures, mining and ventilation layouts, mining methods, plant or equipment and material.
  • Before significant changes are made to the nature of that employee’s occupation or work.
