Elandsfontein Colliery has set a ZERO TOLERANCE on the allowable percentage of the blood alcohol level during normal working hours thus, NO alcohol allowed to be brought or on or used on mine property premises.
- I am aware of and it has been explained to me the importance for arriving at work in a sober state and keeping sober during my working hours
- It has been explained to me that if I drink to excess the day before, or more particularly, the night before returning to work, I may still be in a state of intoxication when I arrive for work
- I understand that under no circumstances may I drink alcohol during my work day, even during lunch time and under no circumstances may I bring intoxicating liquor on to the workings
- I expressly agree that, in the event that I refuse to submit a breathalyser test on demand, or fail to perform the test in an effective manner, the employer will have the right to draw and adverse inference against me arising out of such conduct and any subsequent to disciplinary proceedings or other labour proceedings that may be taken against me
No Alcohol, Drugs, Firearms or offensive weapons will be allowed on mine property at all times.
