Camlok Props:
Mechanical props available on the BML range from 1,6m up to 3,8m in length:
- MS 1,600m to 2,650m
- MG 2,100m to 3,300m
Lesson 4 – Support Units
Full Column Grouted tendons:
- Barberton Mines make use of 1.5m long and 2.1m long full column grouted Shepherd crooks @Yl2mm.
- 1.5m Shepherd Crook is 1.5m long with a O.5m long overbend loop resulting in an approximate 1.6m effective length tendon.
- 2.lm Shepherd crooks is 2.0m long with a 0.6m long overbend loop resulting in an approximate 2.lm effective length tendon.
Grout Capsule Cement:
- Grouting capsules are hydrated and installed into the support hole prior to insertion of the steel tendon support unit.
Jackpot- Pre-stressing device (PSU):
- 20cm Diameter PSU units to pre-load installed stick support to +/-200KN. This to make the installed stick active which assists in reducing blast outs.
Timber elongates (18cm to 20cm Diameter)
Stick support units are delivered at the following lengths:
- 3.6m long,4.2m long and 5.0m long
Osro Straps
Cable Anchors and Trusses:
- Cable Anchors are generally installed by the Secondary Support Contractor. The Cable Anchors in use are 4.5m long,6.5m long and 15.0m long.
