Working at Heights

1)All equipment used for working at heights shall comply with, and be used according to OEM Specs.

2)Single person anchor points capable of withstanding 150kg for a single person and 220kg for two persons must satisfy legislative requirements.

3)When work is required within 2 metres of an opening with no edge protection, workers shall use a dual lanyard attached to an approved point and set at a length to prevent going over the edge.

4)Where the potential to fall more than 2 metres exists, persons shall wear a full body harnesses, including shock absorbing lanyard or inertia reel, attached to an approved point.

5)Adequate access, platforms or walkways must be provided.

6)All boom type, portable elevated work platforms and suspended work cages used underground shall conform to approved design standards.
